To support the growth and development of all aspects of the industrial hemp industry and support farmers in Arizona and nationwide. Our goal is to create legislation that will enable the legal cultivation of one of the world’s most versatile and valuable natural resources, Industrial Hemp.
Who We Are:
Sedona Hemp Coalition is a grassroots driven organization. Our goal is to educate, inspire and rally to restore the free market for Industrial Hemp, a low-THC oilseed and fiber crop, a variety of Cannabis.
There is clear support for Arizona to grow hemp. On March 16, 2017, an Arizona House committee passed a bill to legalize the production and processing of industrial hemp for commercial purposes, rejecting the unconstitutional federal prohibition on the same.
Sen. Sonny Borrelli (R-Lake Havasu City) introduced Senate Bill1337 (SB1337) on Jan. 31. Under the proposed law, industrial hemp would be treated as an agricultural crop subject to regulation by the Arizona Department of Agriculture.
The legislation directs the department to set up a licensing and regulation program for industrial hemp production. A provision in the legislation specifically bars the department from making licensing contingent on federal permission.
We welcome all levels of donation, whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly donation, or the establishment of a matching gifts program. Thank you again for your generous support of our efforts to support our farmers and legalize industrial hemp.
